I'll Denty you!

Born in Arizona, moved to Babylonia...

Alright, long enough without saying anything about me. Lived my first 18 years in Detroit (actually, just north of it in a town called Southfield, but I just tell people Detroit since it's close enough). Then I went to school at Washington University in St. Louis where I learned about biology, classics, and some other stuff too. Plus I got to see the Cardinals alot. You can't love the Tigers, they just don't care. Well, maybe now they do, but when I was there they didn't. I learned enough about biology, classics, and the other stuff to get a BA in them (the first two, there is no BA in "Other stuff" as far as I know). I subsequently moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA to learn more about biology. For a number of years. In a lab studying Toxoplasma gondii, best known to the layperson as the reason that pregnant women have to stay away from kitty litter. After obtaining a PhD in microbiology, I was fortunate enough to land a job at C3 Jian, Inc., a company that is working to create antimicrobial peptides that are specifically targeted to certain pathogenic bacteria, such as Streptococcus mutans in order to fight cavities.
